Cheteshwar Pujara Pension Amount: How Much Money Will Former India Batsman Receive Per Month?

Cheteshwar Pujara ended his India career after playing 103 Tests and 5 ODIs. Pujara, who made his Test debut in 2010, cemented his spot at number 3 following Rahul Dravid's retirement in 2012. Touted to be the next Wall of the Indian Test team, Pujara carved out a niche for himself and did wonders with the bat. He piled up 7195 runs at an average of 43.60. His tally of 7195 runs includes 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries. Pujara also played five ODIs. He didn't enjoy much success win white-ball cricket. Pujara played two ODIs against Zimbabwe in 2013. He was part of the Bangladesh tour in 2014 and played all three ODIs there. He only managed 51 runs in 5 ODIs. Before his ODI debut, Pujara stayed on the bench in the home series against England. He never made it to the T20I team. Though Pujara was part of four IPL teams and played for three of them. He made his IPL debut for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010. He was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru from IPL 2011 to 2013. Pujara played for Punjab Kings in 2014. He was part of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings team, which won the IPL 2021 title. But Pujara stayed on the bench in the season. Cheteshwar Pujara played 103 Tess and is placed in the top-most bracket. The India legend will receive a pension of Rs 70,000 per month. The BCCI increased ex-players' and umpires' pensions in 2022. "It is extremely important that the financial well-being of our former cricketers is taken care of. The players remain the lifeline and as a Board, it is our duty to be by their side once their playing days are over. The umpires have been unsung heroes and the BCCI truly values their contribution,” former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said back then. Pujara has only retired from Indian cricket and he could be seen playing in the Legends League soon. He has been doing commentary since his time away from Team India and is likely to become a full-time cricket expert once the action resumes.
