February 2025 is turning out to be an exciting month for cinephiles, with a diverse lineup of films hitting theaters. After Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravi Kumar and Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa debuted in the first week, the much-anticipated historical drama Chhaava is now joining the list. Meanwhile, re-releases like Sanam Teri Kasam are also working their magic. Here's a look at some of the most awaited releases this Friday. On Friday, Kaushal will be seen as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in Laxman Utekar's Chhaava. The historical drama film, an adaptation of the eponymous Marathi novel, tells the story of the Maratha king's fight against Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, essayed by Akshaye Khanna. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as Sambhaji's wife Maharani Yesubai. The film score and soundtrack album are composed by AR Rahman while the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil. Marvel fans, get ready—Captain America is back! Captain America: Brave New World marks the return of Sam Wilson as the iconic superhero in the fourth installment of the Captain America film series. Serving as a continuation of the 2021 miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the film follows Wilson as he gets entangled in a high-stakes international incident. Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America, leading a cast that includes Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, and Harrison Ford. If you're in the mood for action and comedy, Laila is one to watch! Directed by Ram Narayan and produced by Sahu Garapati, this Telugu film stars Vishwak Sen in a dual role alongside Akanksha Sharma. To note, ahead of its release, Laila sparked controversy after veteran actor '30 Years Industry' Prudhvi's remarks offended a political party, leading to a #BoycottLaila trend. In response, Sen and the producer addressed the media to clarify their stance. This Valentine's Day, you can head straight to watch the romantic comedy Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. Directed by Michael Morris, the film is the sequel to Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) and the fourth in the series, based on Helen Fielding's 2013 novel. Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, and Emma Thompson return, joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall, Isla Fisher, and more.
