THE Club World Cup clash between Boca Juniors and Auckland City has been suspended.
Players from both sides left the field in the 55th minute due to a weather warning.
Argentinian giants Boca were drawing 1-1 with the amateur side from New Zealand at the time the game was suspended.
Referee Glenn Nyberg made the decision to halt the action amid the threat of a thunderstorm in Nashville.
Meanwhile in Group C, Benfica beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in Charlotte.
It meant when Boca and Auckland stars re-entered the pitch to resume the game around 40 minutes later, both knew the rest of the tie was meaningless as neither could not progress to the next round.
It is the fifth time a Club World Cup match has been suspended since the tournament began nine days ago.
Ulsan vs Mamelodi Sundowns was hit with a delay of over an hour due to lightening.
RB Salzburg vs Pachuca was paused for 90 minutes due to a thunderstorm.
Flash storms caused Palmeiras vs Al Ahly to be halted for 40 minutes.

And Auckland City are no strangers to a game delay after their previous clash against Benfica was put on hold for two hours.
Temperatures across America have been as high as 40C, with main cities under a "code red" weather warnings.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca led complaints about the conditions, claiming it was “almost impossible to train” in the heat.
The weather has raised concerns ahead of next summer's World Cup across the States, Canada and Mexico.
There are fears that delays will lead to fans exiting stadiums and give schedule headaches for broadcasters.
Players could also be at risk of heat stroke, exhaustion, dehydration and other injuries if temperatures remain so high.
