Paris Saint-Germain have lowered their asking price for star player Vitinha following Real Madrid's interest.
Following the departures of Luka Modric this summer and Toni Kroos before him, acquiring Vitinha and Rodri are top priorities for Los Blancos.
The Spanish giants are busy in the transfer market, seeking a perfect replacement for the two legends who have left the club.
They made an enquiry for PSG star Vitinha but were put off by the transfer fee being asked by the French giants.
PSG lower asking price
PSG initially demanded a staggering €130 million for Vitinha, a price deemed excessive by Real Madrid, according to Marca.
With Manchester City unwilling to sell Rodri, manager Xabi Alonso views Vitinha as the ideal replacement for Toni Kroos, who retired in 2024. Now, Real Madrid is finally receiving encouraging news from Paris.
After initially setting the price at €130 million for the Portuguese international, PSG's management, in consultation with coach Luis Enrique, has reportedly lowered their asking price to €90 million, Marca reports, via Sportal.
Vitinha is under contract with the French giants until 2029, and Transfermarkt values him at €80 million. Real Madrid also hasn't given up on Rodri, despite Manchester City's reluctance to sell.
The Spanish midfielder is contracted to the English club until 2027, and City recently announced they are preparing a lucrative offer to secure an extension.
However, the 29-year-old Rodri has resisted offers from Saudi Arabia, and Marca suggests this could be "a positive sign for Real Madrid."
In other news, PSG have signed a new goalkeeper to challenge Donnarumma after the FIFA Club World Cup disappointment.
