Confirmed: BTS' Jin to Make Comeback with Second Solo Mini Album 'Echo' in May

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Following the tremendous success of his solo debut 'Happy' in November 2024, Kim Seok Jin, also known as Jin from BTS, is set to release his second solo album, titled 'Echo', on May 16, 2025, at 01.00 PM South Korea time.The announcement was made by his agency, BigHit Music, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. This comeback marks his second musical return after completing his military service.According to BigHit Music, as reported by Koreaboo, Jin’s quick return is driven by his desire to connect with his fans more often. The upcoming album is described as a project that captures various moments of life, each resonating like echoes, unique in form and emotion, with a slightly humorous style.'Echo' will contain seven songs and will maintain the band-based music style as in the 'Happy' album. This shows Jin's consistent musical direction and alignment with his artistic taste.Promotion for this album has already begun since April 15, through video screenings at K-POP SQUARE MEDIA COEX, Gangnam, Seoul.In a video that is also circulating on social media, Jin is seen inside a claw machine and pulling out a banner with the inscription "May 16".The video is played every 30 minutes from 06.00 AM to 11.30 PM local time, and will continue until April 19, 2025.The 'Happy' album previously achieved huge commercial success.According to Allkpop, the album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200, ranked 2nd on the World Albums Chart, and 3rd on the Top Album Sales.The main track 'Running Wild' entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 53 and topped the Digital Song Sales chart.
