Conor McGregor's Black Forge Inn soccer team were crowned champions of their league last weekend.
The pub outfit finished top of the AFL table in a legue that involves tems with all players having to be over the age of 35.
Taking to social media after the win, McGregor shared videos from the game and the celebrations after the win.
"Elated and exhausted! Won a real tough league. Winning the league is always the major statement for a team to make! Very impressed and proud! Onwards and upwards we go!" wrote McGregor on Instagram.
For McGregor, it is his first noteworthy win in a sporting context since his first round KO triumph over Donald Cerrone back in 2020.
Since that victory, McGregor has fought twice, losing on both occasions to Dustin Poirier. The second of those defeats saw The Notorious suffer a horror leg break, an injury from which he is yet to return.
With his MMA career in limbo and doubts over his desire to enter the world of politics, McGregor has been touted as a potential star for the WWE. Last week, Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria spoke to the Irish Mirror about McGregor's future in the industry.
"He doesn't have what it takes," she said when asked about his wrestling credentials.
