Coronation Street has unveiled another look at the drama set to hit the cobbles next week after a previous trailer revealed what looks set to be Rob Donovan's last confrontation. As fans of the ITV soap are well aware already, Rob is set to be part of an armed sieges having been bringing trouble ever since he waltzed back into his sister Carla Connor's life last month as her life was hanging in the balance. After falling ill and discovering she needed another kidney transplant, having contracted sepsis, despite being worried for her future, Carla made it clear she doesn't want her family to be donors but her nephew Bobby Crawford has other ideas and went to see his dad. The convicted murderer initially refused to help the Underworld factory boss but he later had a change of heart as he made out to his son that he was a changed man. However, he's true intentions soon came to light and with the help of prison officer Mandy, who thought she was in a relationship with the prisoner, was plotting to escape from behind bars. As Corrie viewers previously saw, the execution of Rob's escape didn't quite go to plan after DS Lisa Swain discovered what he was up to and cut him a deal, before going back on her word. While his plan didn't take the course he expected, Rob did get himself free, despite Carla thinking she had killed him following a confrontation in an abandoned warehouse, which came after he got Lisa to escort him there before attacking her. He's since been on the run, and it was during last Tuesday night's (March 18) Corrie that Tracy Barlow was stunned to be confronted by her former fiancé in the ginnel before the convicted murderer cheekily asked if she was going to invite him in. He convinced Tracy to help harbour him while he waited for a fake passport to be able to leave the country. But at the end of the episode, Rob was shown to have a gun. Then in Wednesday's (March 19) trip to Weatherfield, Rob further proved he isn't in a good way when his infected surgical wound began to bleed. When Tracy noticed he was bleeding, she was horrified but Rob refused to let her ring emergency services. However, Tracy stood her ground and refused to stand by and watch him succumb to his injuries. But as she reached for her phone, he pulled his gun on her, insisting that he really would shoot her if she called an ambulance. She agreed as Rob made it clear he wasn't afraid to use the weapon and still threatening her, he ordered her to phone his sister as he wanted to see her. It will be next Tuesday (March 25) that the next terrifying chain of events will unfold, with spoilers already confirming that Tracy will go ahead with Rob's request and Carla will make her way to No.1 Coronation Street and come face-to-face with her desperate brother. Now, a new clip released ahead of the dramatic episode has seemingly revealed how Lisa finds herself in No.1. Carla's girlfriend will be horrified to hear there's a hostage situation between Rob, Carla and Tracy. But the first look at a scene from the episode has revealed that Tracy is nowhere to be seen, with Carla pleading: "I didn't know Tracy was going to do that," while a progressively angered Rob shouts that she's a "liar" while keeping the gun in his hand. Lisa then enters and intervenes in the hostage situation in order to stall Rob and prevent him from shooting Carla. Soon, Rob points the gun at both Lisa and Carla, holding them both captive. With armed police surrounding the house, will Carla and Lisa escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man? Either was, Rob's exit has seemingly been sealed.
