Coronation Street fans think they have 'confirmed' how DS Lisa Swain will survive putting herself in Rob Donovan's firing line as they fear she'll be the one who gets shot next week. It was previously confirmed that Rob is set to be part of an armed siege having been on the run for a number of weeks. The convicted murderer returned to the Street in order to speak to his sister after she left him for dead. Fans of the ITV soap are well aware that Rob has bringing trouble ever since he waltzed back into his sister Carla Connor's life last month as he became her kidney donor after she was left needing a transplant as she contracted sepsis. After agreeing to be a donor and being confirmed as a match Rob's true intentions came to light and with the help of prison officer Mandy, who thought she was in a relationship with the prisoner, he was plotting to escape from behind bars. As viewers went on to see, Rob's plan didn't go how he wanted but he did get himself free, despite Carla thinking she had killed him following a confrontation in an abandoned warehouse, which came after he got Lisa to escort him there before attacking her. It wasn't until this week that Rob returned to Weatherfield and went straight to his ex-Tracy Barlow for help and she found herself on the other end of the escaped prison's despair as he wielded a gun and demanded she call his sister. Spoilers have already confirmed that a character will be injured in the upcoming siege as Rob takes both Tracy and Carla hostage in Ken Barlow's beloved No.1 Coronation Street. But now a new preview clip has provided a clue as to who the victim of the dramatic stand-off could be - or more so who it can't be as Tracy is nowhere to be seen. In the new clip, for scenes to air on Tuesday (March 25) as Rob rages at Carla with her pleading: "I didn't know Tracy was going to do that!" But an increasingly angered Rob shouts that she's a "liar" while keeping the gun in his hand. While no more details about Tracy are uncovered, seconds into the clip Lisa arrives, slowly walking in to Ken's living room and telling Rob not to shoot Carla. Lisa hopes to stall Rob and stop him from shooting Carla, but he shows no signs of backing down as he threatens them both. It's already been confirmed that a gunshot will ring out, but will everyone make it out alive? Previous spoilers for next week have already hinted at the aftermath. They revealed that in the hospital waiting room, there’s an anxious wait. Who took the gunshot and more importantly will they survive? Corrie fans have since been sharing the clip on social media and while many do think Lisa will be shot, they think they have spotted her hidden move that Rob won't be aware of. @UtdSwarla said: "Does lisa look to me moving stiffly like she's got the bullet proof vest on under her coat #swarla." @_chandelierbing wrote: "BUZZING for this! Our Lisa is definitely wearing a bulletproof vest, there’s literally no other reason for her coat to be done up to the neck like that. #Swarla #Corrie @missmollybruton shared: "Well that's the vest theory confirmed, you can see the outline in her coat #swarla." @kayleerc09 commented: "My prediction: since swain is wearing a bulletproof vest under her jacket she takes a bullet for carla and isn’t too badly injured." @TheConnorSwains added: "Rob tries to shoot Carla, Lisa steps in & takes the bullet, vest saves her. In the melee she manages to over power Rob as the armed police burst in & take him. Cue hospital bench scene with Lisa & Carla after Lisa gets checked out & they wait on news of Rob. #Swarla #Corrie." Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX from 7am each morning ahead of their broadcast.
