Coronation Street favourites face death in 'disturbing' plot as exit sealed
@Source: mirror.co.uk
There's deadly scenes on the way on Coronation Street , and multiple characters are at risk amid rumours of an exit. More than one character could face death in upcoming episodes after a "disturbing" series of events. According to our soap source, there's lives possibly on the line and at least one casualty, while exact details are being kept top secret by the show and those in the know. What we can reveal is that two big incidents hit the cobbles this coming week, and it could lead to horrifying scenes. There's death theories aplenty from worried fans convinced they've worked out who takes a bullet during the devastating siege, orchestrated by killer Rob Donovan. But that's not the only worrying turn of events, as a child is caught up in a terrifying near-drowning ordeal leading to him being rushed to hospital. Spoilers have remained pretty coy on the details of the week ahead, while key plots include the above as well as a mystery newcomer named Theo, and the growing concern for Debbie Webster. Our soap insider has warned there's "worrying" scenes ahead, with plenty to be nervous about. They shared: "It's a really big week with a lot going on. Fans will be left on the edge of their seats, and just as things appear to ease up there's more nerve-wracking and worrying twists not far behind." Rob Donovan's escape plan takes a terrifying turn next week, leaving lives on the line. After threatening Tracy Barlow with a gun, he orchestrates the hostage taking of his sister Carla Connor - before threatening both women with a gun. Soon Carla's girlfriend Lisa Swain is caught up in the deadly plot, and by the end of Tuesday night's episode a gunshot rings out. But who's taken the bullet, and is a death about to hit the street? Our soap source spilled: "There's a nerve-racking episode on the way, and you don't know which way it's gonna go. It's jumpy, it's tense and pretty terrifying as more than one character faces a grim fate. Fans are going to want to watch this one play out!" With rumours of an exit looming, it's been teased someone might not survive. Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out who gets shot, and if they make it. There's an upsetting incident airing next week as little Bertie Osbourne almost drowns after wandering off while in Jenny Connor's care. The young son of Daniel Osbourne heads off to find his football and makes his way into neighbour Tim Metcalfe's garden. After spotting his ball in Tim's hot tub, which has its cover off, he goes to retrieve it. As Cassie Plummer and Steve McDonald head out into the garden they're left alarmed to find Bertie in the water and race over to save him. Pictures show the moment his worried stepmother Daisy Midgeley checks him over, before he's rushed to hospital. "It's terrifying, and a heart-stopping flashback to Jenny and Daisy's past. Jenny lost her young son Tom in similar circumstances, so it shakes the pair up when they learn of Bertie's harrowing ordeal. They're left fearing the worst." Viewers have been devastated ever since they learned Debbie Webster would be diagnosed with dementia in a future storyline. In recent weeks she has featured in concerning scenes that have hinted her sad storyline has begun. Next week this continues with more concern for the fan favourite, as she clashes with newcomer Mick. "The scenes ahead with Debbie are gut-wrenching knowing what's coming," our soap insider revealed. "More and more scenes will air that appear to show Debbie confused and forgetting things. There's some very emotional scenes on the way, and the soap is only just getting started with the distressing storyline." There's the arrival of newcomer Theo next week, and it seems he's hiding something. Todd Grimshaw is set to make a huge discovery about the new character after taking a liking to the hunk. But not all is as it seems with whatever Theo has to say, with our soap source sharing fans should keep an eye on the newcomer. They shared: "There is something he may not be being truthful about. Todd will want to get to the bottom of it. "Theo makes a claim to him after an apparent misunderstanding, only for Todd's suspicions to be proven correct. There's drama ahead for this newbie!" Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
