Council approves grants for groups across Rutherglen and Cambuslang

Six community groups from across the area have secured grant aid towards a host of projects. Cambuslang and Rutherglen Area Committee agreed the move to support the organisations at their meeting on Wednesday. Overton Tenants' and Residents Association' requested £970 towards an outing equipment and administration costs. They were given a total of £665. Cambuslang Youth Committee requested £600 for start-up costs, entrance fees and identified community benefits. They were given £300 for start-up costs. The Go Ahead Club sought £600 towards an outing and identified community benefits. They were given £300. Young at Heart Senior Club in Cambuslang asked for £400 towards entrance fees and identified community benefits and were given £350 to pay entrance fees. Cambuslang Bowling Club Ladies' Section requested £350 for an outing with identified community benefits. They were awarded £300.
