Two Donegal jockeys have scored big wins at this weekend’s race meeting at the Curragh in County Kildare.
Teenager Patrick McGettigan and rising star Dylan Browne McMonagle, both Letterkenny natives, have taken home victories from the two days of racing so far this weekend.
McGettigan took a fine win in a stack during Friday night’s Fitzpatrick’s Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Derby Handicap.
He took 14/1 shot Pillar of Hope to a fine win for trainer P Sweeney.
Meanwhile Browne McMonagle had a familiar winner for renowned trainer J P O’Brien on Saturday afternoon.
He stormed to victory aboard 4/9 favourite Trustyourinstinct in the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai International Stakes In Honour Of Kevin Prendergast (Group 3) race.
