Customs Brokers’ Association to celebrate its 35th anniversary on April 11 & 12

The Customs Brokers’ Association, Hyderabad (CBAH) will kickstart its 35th anniversary celebrations in the city from Friday (April 11, 2025). The Association’s president S. Anil Kumar in a release said that as part of the two-day anniversary celebrations, the executive committee meeting of the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in India (FFFAI), the national apex body for customs brokers in India, would be held here. A special handbook containing essential trade information will be released during this celebration, which will be attended by top officials from Customs, Central GST, as well as presidents and members from all customs brokers associations across India, alongside stakeholders and representatives from various sectors of trade and industry. The Association has been actively participating in the Customs Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (PTFC), focusing on key issues impacting the EXIM [Export-Import] sector and customs brokers. Today, CBAH holds a consultative status within the International Trade Committee of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTCCI) and is well represented in other trade organizations. For over fifteen years, CBAH has collaborated with the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics (NACIN) to conduct training and refresher courses for the benefit of its members and their staff. These programs have been successful in enhancing skills and ensuring that members are well-informed about the latest practices and regulations in the customs domain, as per the press release.
