Danny Dyer has made his feeling on Jack Fincham clear, saying he "wasn't who he appeared to be". His daughter, Dani, was in a relationship with Jack during their time on 2018's season of Love Island , and while the two certainly clicked in the reality TV series, their romance was doomed to fail. Lasting only six months beyond the villa, the EastEnders ' alum said Jack was different when the television cameras were turned off. "There's no phones, there's no distractions. How real can you be? "It's only when you get out. And so look, they made a go of it. It didn't work out. "She’s entitled to have sex and have amazing times,” he added. “But I don’t want to watch that on the telly. So, I had a bit of that going on, and then she didn’t tell me.” In fact, Danny wasn't keen for his daughter to even go on the ITV dating series, adding: "I had my preconceptions about it. "I'd never really seen it. I think back in the day it was worse. You know, they encouraged them to go into a room and have a roll about and stuff." Yet, he was the last person to find out Dani would be appearing in the series, explaining: "I was the last one to be told. "And then she got in a car and just left. And then you just become a viewer. "You don't get no contact from no producers or anything like that. "So you just sit there like that when it starts, and go, how's it going to be?" True to form, Danny was proud of his daughter's time on the programme, adding: "She was so just herself and normal and sort of, you know, quite vulnerable." Dani had a transformative experience on the series, having previously living in her family home and working in a pub to winning the programme and moving into a penthouse in Canary Wharf.
