Danny Dyer's X-rated Brits outburst revealed after EastEnders star muted by ITV

The exact words that led to Danny Dyer being censored at the BRIT Awards have been uncovered. During the live broadcast from London's O2 Arena on Saturday evening (March 1), the EastEnders star took to the stage to present the International Song of the Year award, won by absent artist Chappell Roan for her track 'Good Luck Babe!'. Those watching on ITV were met with a series of abrupt bleeps.
It has since been confirmed what prompted the censorship: Dyer quipped to the O2 Arena audience, "She couldn't be f***ed to be here," ahead of introducing a pre-recorded video message from Roan.
Additionally, Dyer mentioned one of his movies, likening it to Bridget Jones before using explicit language, and further claimed the world was being controlled by b*******. He also jokingly dubbed Keir Starmer the winner of "b******* of the year", reports the Mirror.
This on-air mishap isn't the first incident of its kind at the BRIT Awards. Notably, in 2021, Lewis Capaldi's award acceptance speech was marred by excessive swearing, prompting organisers to intervene and mute his audio.
While presenting the Album of the Year award, the singer repeatedly used expletives, stating: "Shut up, shut up, shush, shut up. Hello motherf***ers! Listen guys... I'm f***ing sweating it's like a swamp down there, I'm telling you. Sweaty boll***s."
Consequently, his speech was largely unheard by viewers at home, as the audio was frequently muted due to the profanity.
At the 2018 ceremony, Stormzy aimed a verse at then-Prime Minister Theresa May regarding the Grenfell Tower fire, rapping: "Yo, Theresa May, where's the money for Grenfell? What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell. You're criminals, and you got the cheek to call us savages? You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages."
Kanye West courted controversy in 2015 with a performance where nearly every line concluded with the N-word. Due to the word's repeated use, audio technicians attempted to mute it at the correct moments, resulting in most of the performance being silenced.
Over the years, the ceremony has also seen its share of accidents, including Madonna's 2015 tumble down the stairs after her cape became caught. More recently, in 2022, Anne-Marie experienced a similar mishap, but both pop stars demonstrated their professionalism by swiftly recovering and continuing with their performances, captivating their audience.
