Sir David Beckham has returned to the comforts of his own home post-surgery, and fashion designer wife Victoria Beckham has been keeping fans in the loop on her hubby's health status. Victoria, 51, took to social media this morning sharing a photo of David, 50, in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling. David had surgery for an old wrist injury that he sustained on the soccer pitch over twenty years ago, according to reports. Not long after her first update, Victoria dropped another hint on social media about David being discharged from hospital following the operation. This evening, she added a video to her Instagram Story showcasing David up and about in their kitchen, in spite of the sling and bandage still adorning his arm. In the shared video, David is checking out the veggies, eyeing up the lettuce and cucumbers, while Victoria provides commentary from behind the camera with: "So this weekend's vegetable content." As she zooms in on the scene, she teases: "Look - he's overperforming on the cucumber front," reports the Express. Although David looked less than thrilled, Victoria couldn't help but continue her playful banter, exclaiming: "Look at this!" Just as she begins to query: "Are they all from the .." A humourous David quickly chimes in, cautioning: "I'm not sure you can say that, darling!" Yet within moments, there he is, wielding a cucumber, sporting a mischievous grin. The sound of Victoria's laughter rounds off the clip. Victoria had previously revealed that David was recovering from a health issue, though details were not disclosed at the time. She shared a photo of him in a hospital bed, clad in a gown and sporting a sling, with the caption: "Get well soon Daddy." A subsequent post appeared to show a gift he received from her during his hospital stay - a beaded bracelet spelling out "get well soon", a heartfelt message to her husband. Although Victoria initially kept the reason for David's hospitalisation under wraps, it has since emerged that he recently underwent wrist surgery. A source confided in the Mirror that David had a 'secret' operation to repair a wrist injury, reportedly a long-standing issue stemming from a friendly football match against South Africa back in 2003, prior to his retirement. The insider explained: "It had been giving him problems recently and so he wanted to get it fixed." They added that he was expected to be discharged from the hospital soon. According to the same source, David is "hoping" to be fit enough to travel to the US in time for Inter Miami's upcoming match against his former team, Paris Saint-Germain, in the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday.
