David Beckham Gives Subtle Nod to Son Brooklyn Under Wife Victoria’s Social Media Post amid Family Tension
@Source: people.com
David Beckham is expressing his love for his family, including his eldest son, Brooklyn.
On Saturday, June 14 — one day after the 50-year-old former English soccer player was awarded knighthood by King Charles — Victoria Beckham shared a thoughtful Instagram tribute dedicated to her husband's latest accomplishment. Alongside a photo of the longtime couple cozying up for a hug, the fashion designer, 51, wrote that David has "always been my knight in shining armor."
David then decided to toast his wife and kids, including 26-year-old Brooklyn, in the comments section of the post.
"I love you all ❤️," David wrote, tagging Victoria and their boys Brooklyn, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20. He also used a hashtag for their daughter, 13-year-old Harper, who does not have an Instagram account.
In her caption, Victoria wrote that she "couldn’t be prouder of" David as she applauded his commitment to their family.
"Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered," she wrote. "The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx."

The couple's latest remarks come amid a rift between the Beckham family, as a source told PEOPLE in May that "there are tensions" between Brooklyn, his wife Nicola Peltz and the wider Beckham crew. The couple was notably absent from David's 50th birthday bash in May.
"While the pair have been noticeably absent from the Beckhams' recent functions, the relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life," the source said at the time.
Another insider has since told PEOPLE that the couple — who wed in 2022 — skipped the event because of Romeo's reported ex Kim Turnbull, who they said was once linked to Brooklyn. A source told PEOPLE this month that Romeo and Turnbull split within the past few weeks.
"Brooklyn didn't want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that. But David opted to have Kim there over Nicola," the insider said, while another source told PEOPLE that Brooklyn and Turnbull never dated.
PEOPLE also learned this month that Brooklyn and Nicola hired a lawyer previously used by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry amid tensions within the Beckham family. They hired the lawyer — Jenny Afia, who works for the Schillings law firm, per The Mail on Sunday — to help with "reputation management," according to the outlet.
David being named for knighthood comes as part of King Charles' birthday honors, with the recognition focused on his contributions to British society as the official investiture ceremony will take place at a later date. He was previously asked to be an ambassador for the King’s Foundation in 2024 and was appointed an Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth in 2003.
“So so proud of you 🤍🤍🤍🤍,” Romeo wrote in his own Instagram tribute to his dad this week.
