How does an A-list family like the Beckhams come together as one, when everyone is constantly booked and busy? Through outdoor grilling, of course. David Beckham told PEOPLE exclusively all about his family's cooking and bonding adventures at the Inter Miami CF Tailgate, during which Ninja introduced their new FlexFlame 5 in 1 Outdoor Cooking System. "The biggest thing about grilling is bringing the family together," the 49-year-old said, while sampling various from the Ninja Flex Flame cooked by representatives from the team's La Familia fan base. "We’re all about that. We’ve always been about sitting down every evening at 6:00 and we all eat together as a family, and we're lucky with that." Beckham told PEOPLE that his wife and four kids: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, are not allowed to use their phones during these meals. "There’s music, but no screens," he explained, noting that the weekend grill sessions are always full-day events. "In the countryside in the U.K., my kids are there every weekend and we all grill every Saturday from like 11 in the morning until like 12 at night." When it comes to his go-to grill dishes, Beckham favors flavor over frills. "My favorite cut of meat is a skirt steak, and it's not the most expensive cut of meat that you can buy. Every time I go into the butcher's, they're like why don't you want some Wagyu?," he says with a laugh. "But, I love skirt steak." The former soccer star shared that Victoria can't enjoy his go-to meal with him since she doesn't eat meat. "I do some mackerel for her, or she has some turbo or she has a piece of sea bass. Or we go seafood, and we go kind of octopus or shrimp or something - there's a lot that goes on that grill," the Inter Miami CF President and Co-Owner tells PEOPLE. The Beckham family barbecues are a full-family, hands-on activity — minus one. When asked if Victoria participates in the cooking portion of the family gathering, David joked, "She is more about eating and drinking ... whereas it's me and the boys and Harper actually loves to cook as well." On Sunday, following the Inter Miami CF Tailgate, Beckham tuned in to watch his Inter Miami CF team tie Toronto FC 1-1. The single goal was scored by superstar Lionel Messi, officially making him the player with the most goal contributions in Inter Miami's history.
