David Beckham Shows Off Pancake-Making Skills — with Special Powdered Sugar Stencils
@Source: people.com
David Beckham showed off his breakfast-making skills! The retired soccer player posted cooking videos to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 4, showing off his pancake cooking skills on International Pancake Day. “Yep it's pancake day 🥞,” he began his series of Instagram Stories. The first image included Beckham, 49, flipping a pancake high in the air in the industrial style kitchen. He then included a picture of his cooking set up, with the melting button on the pan, the big bowl of batter — and a few stencils to top the pancakes with powdered sugar. “Get ready 🥞,” the second Instagram Story read. In the following videos, he showed off the golden brown pancakes as he decorated them with the “H” stencil with good sprinkle of powdered sugar. The “H” presumably was for his daughter, Harper, 13. David and wife Victoria Beckham share four children: Harper, Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20. The final Story included a video of David decorating the second pancake with a stencil of the Inter Miami CF logo. As he delicately removed the stencil, he said, “Woo! Woo! Vamos Miami!” Along with glimpses of the David’s pancake day celebration to his Instagram Stories, he also added a video to his profile. Harper, who's filming, says to her dad, “Daddy, what are you doing?” in the video. “It's pancake day,” he replies with a big smile, before flipping the sweet treat into the air multiple times. But the last time it didn’t land precisely in the pan, and Harper said, “You ruined my pancake.” “Ruined it?” he asked. “That’s perfect,” he said as he showed off the fixed pancake. “Boys Harper made you a pancake 😂 🥞😂 @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham you missed out @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham 🥞,” he captioned the Instagram post. David, who has developed a reputation as a foodie, exclusively told PEOPLE in September that food brings his loved ones together. "I always love to barbecue for the family because it really brings us together. Our family has always been a family that sits down at six o'clock every night — when we're all in the same country." He added: "And we've always had Sunday roasts on the Sunday. I think that's why I love to cook so much because I like to make my family happy, and I think they love my cooking."
