Sevens rugby has taken another hit after the Scottish, Welsh and English unions announced that they were scrapping the full-time men’s and women’s sevens programmes in July. The decision follows the IRFU’s much-criticised announcement that it would be axing the men’s sevens programme this summer, with the women’s programme continuing.
