"maybe today is the day the entire building explodes" (3) Funniest less than a minute ago Private_Citizen: So many Red States are gonna miss them when they're gone. I think you mean rich people and owners of labor intensive businesses. The bluest rich person would miss his servants if they were taken away. The bluest business owner would miss his employees. BitwiseShift (0) Funniest less than a minute ago Even better, curated for Americans, real estate for expats by choice for expats by less choice. Imagine going to a foreign country and buying a home with English speaking companies, fresh over the border themselves. Maybe the whole nine yards -- Costco, Sams Club, all the stores, everyone much happier, safer from hooded gangs, a woman president, inexpensive Chinese cars with incredible tech, good healthcare -- all made possible by the forced migration of US-savvy talented people. And the added product -- a fine blending of Mexican, native American, Spanish, European culture with US, in a place where a lot more tolerance is practiced. The nation of Israel probably thanked the Assyrians for the forced migration back then, too. Just before the nation disappeared off the map. freakdiablo (4) Funniest less than a minute ago sunderland56: Private_Citizen: So many Red States are gonna miss them when they're gone. I'm waiting for harvest time, shiat's gonna hit the fan. Oh it already is. The larger industrial farms are finding a good chunk of their workforce isn't even showing up. Even the fully legal workers are worried about getting caught up in the mix if they get raided. (0) Funniest less than a minute ago All of that makes sense. US companies going to a Mexican call center because they are cheaper makes sense. Said call centers hiring Mexicans who lived in the US for a long time before being deported because some speak very good Americanized English makes sense. And, finally, said deported people gladly accepting such jobs because it's the only one where their living in America for a long time is a positive, a skill, makes sense.
