Diogo Jota leads 5 man Liverpool transfer exodus this summer as Arne Slot to 'reshape squad'

Arne Slot is poised to oversee a transfer overhaul at Liverpool this summer - with Diogo Jota reportedly set to lead a five-man exodus. The Dutchman is on the brink of leading the Reds to Premier League title glory in his debut season, despite making just ONE signing since arriving from Feyenoord. Slot splashed out £10million to land Federico Chiesa from Juventus but the Italian has struggled to make his mark at Anfield, making just three starts in ten appearances. And the 27-year-old will reportedly be allowed to leave the champions-elect in the summer as Slot prepares to put his own stamp on the team. Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Liverpool are "already preparing for an exciting summer transfer window" and that "a reshaping of the squad is planned, with several new signings expected". He adds that Portuguese forward Jota, winger Chiesa plus Caoimhin Kelleher, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott are among potential departures. The futures of out-of-contract trio Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also up in the air. However, the uncertainty hasn't halted Liverpool's Treble charge as the English giants target their first trophy of the season in this weekend's mouthwatering Carabao Cup Final against Newcastle. The Premier League pacesetters - who are potentially just six games away from being crowned champs - also hold a precious 1-0 Champions League last 16 lead over PSG ahead of Tuesday night's return leg at Anfield. And success in all three competitions could bolster Slot's transfer kitty.
