Donald Trump spent Saturday avoiding the global economic meltdown caused by his tariffs by playing golf in Florida.
The president competed in the second round of the Senior Club Championships at his Trump National Jupiter club and won.
A White House briefing revealed Trump is now through to Sunday's Championship round. It is the first time he has visited his Jupiter course since starting his second term in the White House.
It comes after his bombshell decision on Wednesday to place stiff new tariffs on imports from nearly all of America's trading partners.
The new levies take effect on Saturday starting with a base rate of 10 percent, upending industries including beauty products, supermarket goods and even sex toys.
As a result, financial markets have had their worst week since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, foreign trade partners retaliated and economists warned that the import taxes may boost inflation and potentially send America into a recession.

Democratic activists also planned to participate in rallies against Trump across the country on Saturday in what was shaping up as the largest demonstrations since he returned to office in January.
But amid the chaos Trump has fled to his Florida sanctuary to play in yet another golf tournament.
This is the third event in which Trump has competed during his second term and he's won the first two.
The president woke up at Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, on Friday and headed to his nearby golf club after writing on social media that 'THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH.'
The Republican is not expected to appear publicly during his time in Florida, although he was scheduled to attend a candlelit dinner for MAGA Inc., an allied political organization, on Friday night.
He also spent Thursday in Miami at his Doral course, where he attended Saudi-backed LIV Golf's latest tournament. He landed in Marine One and was picked up in a golf cart driven by his son Eric.
Democrats have called out Trump for fleeing to Florida and Sen. Chuck Schumer even accused him of being in a 'billionaire bubble,' while millions watched their investments sink.
'While the American people are trying to put food on the table, I see that Donald Trump's out there playing golf,' said Sen. Ben Ray Luján, a Democrat from New Mexico, added.
As a result, the financial markets have had their worst week since the onset of Covid-19
'The president should be listening to people across the country. Maybe he should go into a grocery store, do some walking, talking to folks.'
But an exclusive DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners survey found Trump is more popular now than before he sent the global markets into a frenzy.
The survey of over 1,000 registered voters conducted from March 31 to April 3 found that the Republican remains largely popular in the U.S.
The poll found that Trump's approval rating rose to 53 percent, a 4-point increase over last week when it was 49 percent.
Trump's rising approval rating is surprising given the flak the White House has received over the tariff order signed Wednesday.
It is up by 13 points since March 7 among those aged 18 to 29.
