Pakistani Javelin Throw athlete Arshad Nadeem refused to give his opinion on cross-border rival Neeraj Chopra, who came under scrutiny for extending an invitation to Nadeem for the NC Classic, which has now been postponed due to the tensions between the neighbouring nations following an armed conflict. “I don’t want to make any comments about Neeraj because of the ongoing conflict with India,” Nadeem said. The Paris Olympics gold medallist, who upstaged Chopra at the grandest stage of them all in Paris last year, reflected on his origins and pledged allegiance to his nation’s defence.
