Former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz could be heading back to the Premier League this summer. The Brazilian has spent just one season at Juventus but struggled with form and injuries, making his first campaign at the club something of a disappointment. He made only three starts in Serie A last season , despite being signed for £42 million - a deal that helped Aston Villa meet Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) on June 30 last year. Luiz made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions but missed the chance to play at Villa Park in November due to injury, when Juventus visited B6 for a Champions League group stage fixture. Now, Juventus are reportedly open to offloading Luiz for a fee lower than what they paid for the 27-year-old just over a year ago. According to Relevo , Everton and Fulham have contacted Juventus to inquire about Luiz and the terms of a potential deal. Manchester United are also said to have shown interest, albeit in a more cautious manner. The report claims that United had previously held talks with Luiz in recent months and have now rekindled their interest. As of now, no official offers have been made by any club.
