JAKARTA -- Dozens of flights have been canceled in eastern Indonesia after the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki on Flores, 1,000 kilometers east of Indonesia’s popular resort island of Bali.
Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport remained open, but 32 flights have been canceled since the volcano's first eruption on Tuesday. “As of this morning, 12 international and five domestic departure flights were canceled, along with 13 international and two domestic arrival flights,” said Wahyudi, general manager of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport.
