Dale Whitnell is the 545th-ranked golfer in the world. But on Friday, there was nobody better.During the second round at this week's DP World Tour event in South Africa, Whitnell not only aced the first par three he saw on the day, but then did it again 11 holes later to register two holes-in-one in the same round.It was an epic round for the 36-year-old British pro who's been playing on the European Tour since he was 20.After opening the day with a birdie on the first hole, he hit his first hole-in-one on the second. He immediately followed that with an eagle on the par-five third, which put him at five-under through three holes.Not something you see every day. That includes Whitnell, too."Birdied the first, then hit a flush 7-iron at the second," Whitnell said."Didn't realize it went in until (the fans) cheered. Then hit hybrid-hybrid into the par five and made eagle there. So I was five-under through three. Never done that before. Then managed to get another hole-in-one on 12. It was bizarre."Thanks to his 9-under second round, Whitnell is now tied for 9th, five shots off the lead going into the weekend, looking for just his second Tour victory.According to the PGA, it was only the third time in the last 42 years any player has achieved the feat.At the 2006 Barracuda Championship Yusaku Miyazato aced holes 7 and 12, also during his second round. In 2015, Brian Harman did the same on the third and 14th holes during his final round at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.Then just last year on the Senior Tour, Frank Bensel Jr. topped them all. He didn't just hit two aces in the same round.
