Dr Narendra Ram nominated as new chief of Telangana Rugby Union

HYDERABAD: Dr Narendra Ram has been nominated as the new president for Telangana Rugby Association by Indian Rugby Football Union.
The City-based Dr Ram, Lifespan Founder, heads the body which has been officially granted permanent membership affiliation by the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU).
“This recognition marks a significant milestone in the development and formalisation of Rugby as a structured sport in the state of Telangana,” he said on Sunday.
“With this affiliation, the Rugby Association of Telangana will now be eligible for all benefits accorded to permanent members under the IRFU’s Articles of Association. It also provides the association with a formal platform to work in close coordination with the national body for the promotion and growth of Rugby across both grassroots and professional levels within the state,” Dr Ram explained.
The IRFU’s decision reflects its endorsement of the vision and our efforts,” he said even while stressing his commitment to building a strong and inclusive Rugby ecosystem.
