Elon Musk cowers in silence amid Donald Trump and Keir Starmer's 'bromance' after bashing PM

Elon Musk has remained unusually quiet after Sir Keir Starmer met with President Donald Trump at the White House this week.
The world leaders struck up an unlikely 'bromance' as the pair discussed the ongoing peace talks with the Ukrainian war in between exchanging tartan caps and golf balls. However, Musk - known for his ardent tweeting - has seemingly cowered in silence over their meeting.
Not a single tweet has appeared on Musk's X (formerly Twitter) profile page making any reference to the UK prime minister's visit to Washington DC. Since Sir Keir and Trump met on Thursday, the billionaire businessman has tweeted about an upcoming Joe Rogan podcast appearance, the FBI and space exploration among other subjects.
Yet Musk has already tweeted multiple times about Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today. Sir Keir is clearly on Musk's radar, though, as last month he took a huge swipe at the UK's Labour government in a bizarre rant on X.
The Space X and Tesla boss asked whether "America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government." The poll had almost two million respondents with 58% saying 'yes' and the remaining 42% saying 'no'.
Musk has also slammed the Sir Keir's government over its handling of multiple grooming gangs in the UK. The prime minister previously ordered a comprehensive overhaul of the Crown Prosecution Service's response to grooming in 2012 in an attempt to drive up convictions.
Sir Keir said at the time that a generation of girls had been betrayed by a flawed justice system and argues prosecutors "shouldn't shy away from" understanding issues of ethnicity. While minister Jess Phillips has also been in Musk's firing line of late.
She had formally denied requests for the Home Office to carry out a public inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Oldham, instead instructing Oldham Council to launch its own inquiry into historic child sexual abuse in the town in October. The Conservatives said it was for local authorities to commission local inquiries.
Musk since shared various posts on the scandal and branded Phillips a "rape genocide apologist". The tech owner posted or reposted comments concerning child grooming in the UK more than 40 times in 24 hours, including a call for the minster to be jailed.
However, Health Secretary Wes Streeting hit back at Musk's comments, labelling them a "disgraceful smear." He told Laura Kuenssberg: "It is a disgraceful smear of a great woman who has spent her life supporting victims of the kind of violence that Elon Musk and others say that they're against. It's all very easy to sit there and fire off something in haste and click send when people like Keir Starmer and Jess Phillips have done the hard yards of actually locking up wife beaters, rapists and paedophiles."
