England star immediately withdraws from squad after 'worrying' Thomas Tuchel update

Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon has withdrawn from the England squad after picking up an injury in the win over Albania. Gordon came on as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 victory on Friday night before sustaining a hip problem.
The Three Lions have now confirmed that he has returned to Newcastle for assessment and will play no part in Monday night's match against Latvia at Wembley.
"He looks injured," Tuchel said on Friday night when asked about Gordon's injury. "First of all I thought it was his stomach but it's his hip and it does not look good. It's a bit worrying."
Gordon came on against Albania as a 74th-minute replacement for Marcus Rashford. He received medical treatment on the field and later headed straight down the tunnel after the final whistle blew to suggest that something was wrong.
The 24-year-old has nine goals and six assists in 34 appearances for Newcastle so far this season and his injury is undoubtedly a blow to Tuchel ahead of his second game as England boss.
Despite picking up a routine win on Friday thanks to goals from Myles Lewis-Skelly and Harry Kane, Tuchel was openly critical of his wingers for their lack of impact. Rashford and Phil Foden were chosen to start on the flanks, but may well lose their places for the Latvia game, meaning Gordon and fellow substitute Jarrod Bowen could have been in line for an opportunity.

"We can do better, we have to do better," Tuchel told ITV. "We started well, we had seven-eight minutes with 100 per cent ball possession with a lot of passes and high energy but the opponent is hard to wear down as they defend in a deep, deep block.
"In all of the matches we saw in the Euros they managed to not concede chances, not concede goals. Second half, I felt that we were too slow and in general not enough runs off the ball to get more often behind the line."
He added: "We hope for more impact in these positions and then we tried with Anthony and Jarrod. I hope for a little bit more impact with more dribbling and less passing. More aggressive runs towards the box. In general that was missing. I think all of the chances come from the little runs behind the line, Jude had some good runs in the first-half of the first half.
“Myles scored from it and Kyle Walker had one where we had the big chance to score the second one. There was a bit missing they were not as decisive as they can be."
