The sports broadcaster also just acquired Redzone and the NFL Network in a deal that gives the NFL equity in ESPN. ESPN has long been compromised journalistically since it covers the same sports that it pays to broadcast. This NFL deal further deepens ESPN’s conflict of interest. But if you just want the games and Steven A. Smith to yell at you about sports betting and fantasy sports, perhaps that won't be a big deal. Other sports in ESPN's coverage include the U.S. Open, international soccer, volleyball, field hockey, women's college soccer, and soon, the WNBA playoffs, PLL playoffs, and NBA and NHL seasons.
