As for presentation, Madden 26 features former NFL legends in stadium pre-game rituals, has licensed more than 40 songs for stadium music, and includes official team mascots. The Madden Rating for each player is a composite of scores in 43 categories, on which each player is graded. Saquon Barkley was named the Madden 26 cover athlete after an extraordinary season, in which he helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, Barkley had over 2,000 rushing yards and scored 15 touchdowns in 16 games. Meanwhile, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson went head-to-head all season in a tight NFL MVP race. That being said, EA dynamically changes the ratings throughout the season based on performances, so there is always a chance that these players will be upgraded eventually.
