The 44-year-old was a member of Team USA at the Athens Olympics back in 2024, where he just missed out on a medal. He later served as chairman of USA Fencing and worked as a police officer in the New York City Police Department. But Lee now faces six years of probation - and must enroll in a sex offenders program - after pleading guilty to sexual abuse and forcible touching. The offenses involved a female athlete he worked with while head coach of the women's fencing team at Long Island University in New York. 'Before this happened, fencing was my passion,' the woman said in a statement back in February. 'It was more than just a sport to me; it was where I felt strong, disciplined, and in control. 'But after what he did, it became a place of fear and pain. …The mental and emotional toll has been unbearable.' Back in December, Lee reportedly pleaded guilty to the single counts of sexual abuse in the third degree and forcible touching-intimate parts. The offenses took place in 2023. In a separate incident involving the same woman, the Hall-of-Fame fencer admitted one count of forcible touching-intimate parts and harassment in the second degree. As reported by USA Today, the forcible touching plea was vacated after Lee took part in a court-ordered treatment plan. Lee was suspended by USA Fencing in December 2023, a few months before he was arrested in New York. The 44-year-old has also been kicked out of the USA Fencing Hall of Fame, having been inducted in 2014.
