Former Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie has urged Lions boss Andy Farrell to start Jac Morgan in Saturday's third Test in Sydney. Morgan was not included in the matchday 23 for the first Test but made an impact as a replacement in Melbourne last weekend with his clearout at a ruck leading up to Hugo Keenan's match-winning try causing controversy. The Wales star has played second fiddle to the outstanding Tom Curry so far but with the Lions looking to complete a series whitewash over Australia on Saturday, McKenzie believes Morgan needs to come into the backrow. "They've got players that can do it but he seems to have more of a Southern Hemisphere instinct about him in terms of the opportunity. "So, I think he might be there somewhere." The Lions won the first Test with ease before Keenan's last-gasp try in Melbourne resulted in the tourists winning one of the all-time great internationals. McKenzie has pinpointed influential scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park as the Lions' best player all tour and believes he will be key again in Sydney. "He has been the difference between the two teams. “He’s just a great player. "He just sums up every moment. "There was that moment where we kicked it deep, and he went back and fielded the ball, and he just bought enough time for support players to get back without giving away the penalty, without losing the ball. He was on his own. “He is a high-quality player, I think he is the difference between the two teams.” Get the latest breaking Welsh rugby news stories sent straight to your inbox with our FREE daily newsletter.
