AN "exciting" outdoor attraction that's perfect for families has opened - and prices start at just €6.
A new 18-hole mini golf course promises “great laughs” and “friendly competition”.
The new mini golf course is located at Munster Footgolf in Hurlers Cross, Shannon.
It’s situated close to Shannon and accessible to the Mid West and wider region.
Shannon Community Partnership announced the news on social media.
They said: “18 Putts Minigolf is officially opening tomorrow at 12PM — and it's set to be a fantastic new addition to the brilliant Footgolf facility we already know and love.
“Whether you're a mini-golf pro or just looking for some family fun, this new spot promises great laughs, friendly competition, and another reason to get outdoors in Shannon.
“Let’s get behind this great local amenity — pop down, have a go, and help support local initiatives that add life to our town.”
A round of mini golf costs €9 for adults and a bargain €6 for children under 16s.
The first purpose built Footgolf course in the mid west opened eight years ago.
A round of FootGolf usually takes two to two and a half hours to complete.
A game of footgolf costs adults €13, under 16s just €8 and ball hire is €2.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on the new minigolf section.
One person said: “Such a lovely place to go to, have used their facilities for footgolf a good few times and the staff are always so so nice!
“Definitely will be over to try this, it looks amazing.”

One person shared: “It's brilliant for Shannon, well done to all involved.”
While another added: “This is fabulous. It's for everyone to enjoy. Great fun & it's so accessible to walk or cycle to it from the town.
“Especially the kids, they will be safe with pedestrian crossing on the way to it.”
Meanwhile, a popular Irish holiday resort has launched a "brand new" waterpark and fans reckon it “looks awesome”.
Little ones and large ones will love the new aqua park with over 30 obstacles and 1,800 square metres to conquer.
