@Source: indiatoday.in
The Noida STF has apprehended a man named Harsh Vardhan Jain for running a fake embassy in Ghaziabad for fictitious countries, including 'West Arctica'. Jain allegedly posed as an ambassador, using morphed pictures with national leaders and vehicles with diplomatic number plates to defraud people. During the operation, authorities recovered ₹44.7 lakh in cash, foreign currency, 12 fake diplomatic passports, 18 diplomatic plates, and forged government documents. Investigations suggest Jain was also involved in brokerage for foreign deals and was suspected of running a Hawala network through shell companies. His past includes alleged links to Chandraswami and arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, and he was previously booked in 2011 for illegal satellite phone possession.
