Arjilli Dasu from Visakhapatnam was appointed as the general secretary of the Federation of Indian Fisher Organisation. The appointment was made at the general body meeting held at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. Fifteen representatives of nine coastal States, and four Union Territories were appointed, said a release on Wednesday.
The FIFO engages with World Trade Organization (WTO), Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), International Finance Corporation (IFC) to promote and develop India’s fish trade globally.
