Goodrich 18, New Lothrop 0: Goodrich’s Bryce Woods tossed a complete game with nine strikeouts while the Martians’ offense exploded. Nathan Gould went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple, Cross Darby went 2-for-2 with four RBIs, Cole Pethers 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Parker Pannell 2-for-2. Flushing 12, Frankenmuth 11 Linden 8, Corunna 5 Linden 3, Corunna 3 Webberville 13, Genesee Christian 3 Webberville 5, Genesee Christian 2 Girls Lacrosse Flushing 9, Davison 8 Holly 9, Waterford Kettering 6 Boys Lacrosse Linden 17, Goodrich 13 Saginaw Heritage 20, Davison 2 Girls Soccer Flushing 8, Corunna 0: Flushing’s Kayla Rousseau continued her stellar start to the season with another three-goal performance, leading the Raiders to a win on Thursday night. Emma Winer, Victoria Rodriguez, Alana Babcock, Mel Youmans, and Elaney Groulx all added a goal each while Liv Gioventu (2), Babcock (2), Jaelynn Prior (2), and Rousseau were credited with assists. Karsyn Pisha and Lily Egan split the shutout for Flushing. Genesee Christian 4, Midland Calvary Baptist 0: A hat-trick by Amelia Kroninger led the way for Genesee Christian on Thursday night. Haven Chapman added two assists in the win. Birch Run 8, Byron 0 Ovid-Elsie 8, Otisville LakeVille Memorial 0 Oxford 5, Ortonville Brandon 0 Fenton 14, Swartz Creek 0: All nine batters recorded a hit for Fenton as it cruised to a win over Swartz Creek on Thursday. Izzy MacCaughan, Lillian Tillier, and Abby Golen each recorded two hits while Ally Turkowski and Olivia Ferrari both had a home run in the win. Tillier tossed five scoreless innings and struck out 10. Flushing 6, Flint Kearsley 1: Emma Larner took the circle with authority, throwing five innings and earning seven strikeouts to lead Flushing. Juliana Bush had two hits and an RBI while Addisyn Good, Kayla Forbes, and Taylor Kelley each had a hit and an RBI in the win. Flushing 16, Flint Kearsley 2: The Raider offense exploded in game two behind a 4-for-4 performance from Makenzie Jones. Jones tallied a double and two RBIs while Addisyn Good went 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs, and four runs scored. Kayla Forbes went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the win. Grand Blanc 12, Midland 0: Grand Blanc’s Savannah Schultz was untouchable, throwing a complete game with 13 strikeouts. Ella Stevenson and Kate Mitchell each had three hits with Mitchell and Kayla Blumenschein, who had four hits, both adding a home run in the win. Grand Blanc 6, Midland 1: Grand Blanc’s Kayla Blumenschein decided four hits and a home run weren’t enough, so she threw a complete game and fanned 15 Midland batters to lead the Bobcats. Alaina Trotter led the way offensively with four hits while Ella Stevenson added three in the win. Mackenzie Jacobson had two hits for Grand Blanc. Lake Fenton 13, Ortonville Brandon 2: Maddie Stanton was stellar again on the mound as she went five innings and struck out five, and the Blue Devils’ offense had her back from there. Mia Merrell, Leah Meyers, Laureena Baehl, and Parker Beardsley all had two hits, including a home run from Baehl and Beardsley. Lake Fenton 10, Ortonville Brandon 0: Maddie Stanton took the ball again and shined, tossing five innings and collecting five strikeouts. Laureena Baehl launched a pair of home runs while Avery Heil added a home run of her own in the win.
