Owosso 2, Clio 0: Owosso’s Jack Sydow was dominant Wednesday night, tossing a complete game with six strikeouts. Carson Moore led the offense with two hits while Liam Patrick, Eden Ackley, and Cy Thompson each had a hit. Owosso is now 12-3 on the season and 7-2 in Flint Metro Conference play, sweeping Clio. Goodrich 5, Lake Fenton 1 Lake Fenton 5, Goodrich 0 Holly 2, Flint Kearsley 1 Mt. Morris 14, Burton Bentley 1 Ortonville Brandon 4, Corunna 2 Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy 21, Otisville LakeVille Memorial 1 Otisville LakeVille Memorial 19, Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy 0 Fenton 162, Lake Fenton 202: Fenton took the top six spots behind Preston Muntin (35), Chris Lewis (41), and Keegan McArdle (42). Lake Fenton’s top scorer was Brendan Poirier with a 47. Flushing 139, Clio 219: Flushing took the top six spots behind Mack Burba’s 33 and AJ Gasper’s 34. Other contributors for the Raiders were Easton Weder (35), Garrett Morrison (37), and Weston Buchanan (39). Ortonville Brandon 164, Flint Kearsley 181: Kearsley’s Santiago Albiar took the top spot on the leaderboards with a 35 but Brandon pulled out the win behind Ethan Heading (39), Beau Mount (40), and Nick Grycza (42). Noah Crews also shot a 42 for Kearsley. Girls Lacrosse Holly 11, Flushing 10 Oxford 14, Fenton 13 Saginaw Heritage 15, Flint Powers Catholic 7 Boys Lacrosse Grand Blanc 15, Midland 0: The Bobcats earned a decisive win Wednesday night as Jayden Sloan, Joey Larobardiere, and Leo Ruppel all tallied a hat trick. Linden 8, Bay City John Glenn 1 Girls Soccer Flushing 8, Owosso 0: Flushing improved to 9-2 Wednesday night as Kayla Rousseau and Liv Gioventu each tallied a hat trick. Tessa Slogor scored twice while Karsyn Pisha earned the shutout in net. Jaelynn Prior (2), Kayla Rousseau (2), Liv Gioventu, and Alana Babcock all tallied assists in the win. Grand Blanc 3, Mount Pleasant 2: The Bobcats picked up a league win Wednesday night as Anna Weston tallied two goals. Haylee Heise added a score, and Iyana Blake had two assists in the win. Montrose 5, Corunna 0: The Rams improved to 10-3 on the season behind a hat trick from Miley Harrington. Maylin Studer and Rylee Fejes added a score each while Adie Fejes (2) and Maylin Studer each had assists in the win. Davison 6, Bay City Western 0 Holly 4, Ortonville Brandon 0 Lake Fenton 8, Clio 1 Midland Dow 6, Flint Powers Catholic 0 Saginaw Heritage 4, Flint Carman-Ainsworth 0 Linden 14, Flushing 8: The Linden bats exploded in game one as Sophia Helm and Morgan Piotrovsky each had two hits and three RBIs. Alida Smith added two hits and two RBIs while Ella Kenyon added two RBIs. Tessa Zilisch threw five innings and struck out eight and Kayla Widner finished the job with two hitless innings and three strikeouts. Mackenzie Jones paced the Flushing offense with three hits and two RBIs while Addisyn Good, Emma Larner, and Taylor Kelley each contributed two hits in the loss. Linden 8, Flushing 2: A three-run shot by Sophia Helm propelled the Eagles to a win in game two. Helm also tossed a complete game with eight strikeouts. Addisyn Good went 2-for-3 with a double and Emerson Bodzick and Makenzie Jones each added a hit for Flushing in the loss. Clio 12, Ortonville Brandon 0 Clio 16, Ortonville Brandon 1 Detroit Country Day 12, Holly 9 Millington 6, Otisville LakeVille Memorial 1 Otisville LakeVille Memorial 3, Millington 0 Girls Tennis Clio 5, Owosso 3: Clio took three out of four doubles flights to earn the win Wednesday. Owosso singles winners: Ginger Golombisky and Roberta Golombisky Clio singles winners: Elizabeth Kennamer and Claire Smith Clio doubles winners: Caydence Royster/Emersyn Grab; Lenja Schraut/Maite Vidal Figallo De Souza; Kendall Lester/Gracelyn Vincent Owosso doubles winners: Gabrielle Dalley/Megan Hemenway Holly 4, Ortonville Brandon 4: A pair of flight sweeps for each team led to a 4-4 finish on Wednesday. Ortonville Brandon took all four singles flights behind Kaja Wiederhold, Victoria Moore, Natalie Vela, and Adrianna Hilligoss. Holly took all four doubles flights behind the teams of Adrianna Thisse/Emmalee Dietzen, Madison Maciejewski/Claudia Klempp, Anna Thompson/Joslyn Van Tassel, and Sophie Tobias/Ayanna Sherman. Swartz Creek 6, Corunna 2: The Dragons swept all four singles flights as Autumn Snyder, Savannah Edwards, Marissa Serges, and Amara Hougen each picked up a win. Corunna picked up a pair of doubles wins behind the teams of Kyra Middleton/Caty Janicek and Kenadie Croskey/Ashlyn Bemke, but Swartz Creek responded with two doubles wins behind Ava Gaskins-Day/Anna Eldred and Carolyn Wistuba/Layla Hopkins.
