Valasek pitched 4.1 innings and struck out four while Ryan Maier added two hits in the win. Eden Ackley, who closed the game on the mound, Carson Moore, Cy Thompson, and Valasek each added a hit. Owosso 9, Lake Fenton 8: Owosso would need late-game heroics again as it trailed 6-0 in game two.
