A flood warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:36 p.m. EDT in effect until Sunday at 11 p.m. EDT for Ingham County. The weather service says, “Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast for Sycamore Creek at Holt.” “At 8.0 feet, Expect minor flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to the river, in the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and sections of East Mt. Hope Road,” describes the weather service. “Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
