‘Focus on Odisha’s Next Destination Campaign’: Deputy CM visits Rajasthan for Great India Travel Bazaar

In a significant push to enhance Odisharsquos tourism profile on the national and global stage Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has embarked on an official visit to Rajasthan. Her visit coincides with Odisharsquos participation as the Theme State at the prestigious Great India Travel Bazaar GITB being held in Jaipur. Deputy CM Parida will attend the inaugural ceremony of the event alongside Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. She will also participate in various high-level discussions during the lsquoMeet in Indiarsquo session aimed at engaging global investors and travel stakeholders. Odisha To Gain Highlighting the strategic importance of Odishas role in the event Parida remarked that although Rajasthan is the host state Odisha is expected to gain even greater visibility and mileage by serving as the theme state. ldquoThis will provide us with a unique platform to showcase Odisharsquos rich cultural heritage natural beauty and untapped tourism potential to a global audiencerdquo she stated. GITB known as one of Indias premier travel and trade platforms has attracted a large number of participants this year including tour operators and travel agents from several Arab nations and other international markets. This makes it a prime opportunity for Odisha to promote its lsquoNext Destination Campaignrsquo a flagship tourism initiative aimed at positioning the state as a must-visit travel destination. During her Rajasthan tour the Odisha Deputy CM is expected to hold interactive sessions with international tour operators tourism industry experts and potential investors focusing on opportunities in Odisharsquos tourism infrastructure heritage circuits eco-tourism and luxury travel services. Additionally she will engage in dialogues on how to increase tourist footfall to Odisha and ensure the provision of world-class hospitality and services to meet growing demands. Experts in tourism management service delivery and public-private partnerships are also scheduled to meet with Parida to deliberate on Odisharsquos tourism development roadmap. With its diverse offeringsmdashfrom the temples of Puri and Konark to the forests of Similipal and the tranquil beaches along the Bay of BengalmdashOdisha is poised to attract both domestic and international travellers. This Rajasthan visit marks a strategic step in strengthening Odisharsquos position on Indiarsquos tourism map and is expected to open new avenues for collaboration investment and promotion in the coming years.
