Former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday in the presence of BJP’s Maharashtra state president, Chandrashekhar Bawankule.Jadhav has represented India in 73 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) since his debut in 2014 against Sri Lanka, and has played as a middle-order batter. In domestic cricket, he represented Maharashtra and played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for teams including the Chennai Super Kings. His T20 International career lasted from 2015 to 2017, during which he appeared in nine matches and accumulated 122 runs. Although Jadhav primarily made his mark in One-Day Internationals, he never got the opportunity to represent India in a Test match.Speaking at the induction event, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “He is a former national player. He has thousands of followers on social media. It will strengthen our party. He will tour the entire state to bring young people into the party.”Published By: Meghna BarikPublished On: Apr 8, 2025Must Watch
