Four rushed to hospital after serious crash on major road

A main road was closed by emergency services on Sunday (August 10) following a serious collision which injured four people. Police, fire crews and paramedics raced to Tiviot Way in Stockport shortly before 6pm to reports of the crash between two cars. Both vehicles were left visibly damaged in the collision, with debris strewn over the road. Four people were rushed to hospital following the incident. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 5.55pm tonight, we were called to a collision on Tiviot Way, Stockport . "Enquiries are currently ongoing, and the road is in the process of being cleared." Join our Stockport WhatsApp group HERE A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly before 6pm on Sunday 10 August, one fire engine from Whitehill Community Fire Station was called to attend a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Tiviot Way, Stockport. “Crews arrived quickly and used one hose reel to extinguish a fire involving one of the vehicles.
