Fourteen-year-old cricket prodigy smashes his first ball in IPL for six

At just 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to ever appear in the Indian Premier League, and announced himself by hitting his first ball for six.
Vaibhav was picked up at the IPL auction by Rajasthan Royals for more than $A207,000 when he was just 13, and was thrown in to face Lucknow Super Giants midway through the tournament.
At 14 years and 23 days, he became the youngest player in the 18 seasons of the IPL, overtaking Prayas Ray Barman, who was 16 years and 157 days when he made is debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019.
Brought in as part of the IPL’s impact sub rule at the halfway point of the match, Vaibhav opened with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
