Rohit Sharma heads to Wankhede Stadium to play for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 game against Delhi Capitals (DC). The 38-year-old will be heading to the stadium for the first time after a stand was named after him recently. Star Sports posted a short video of their interview with Kieron Pollard, who is associated with MI as the batting coach. Advertisment Pollard played 13 seasons for MI since his debut in 2010 and won all his five IPL titles under Rohit Sharma"s captaincy. Pollard, during his chat with Star Sports, said, “I"ve known Rohit since Under-19 cricketing days. And I have seen the transformation from boy into man. And the success story, continued in all three formats he has defied logic, you keep seeing that lazy elegance that he portrays on the cricket field.” The former West Indian star also praised his former teammate for his achievements as the captain. “I am not surprised that he has had the success that he has had and for us being the most successful captain in Mumbai Indians" history. You know, you can"t take that away, so for me these sorts of guys, these sorts of players, you want them to play for as long as possible. “So you can get their knowledge, pick their brains so they can help the future generations rather than preempt retirement because, as the saying goes, "You don"t miss the water until the well runs dry.” Rohit Sharma had recently retired from Test cricket and will only play the ODI format.
