From Canberra to the Cote d’Azur? Wallabies star Valetini eyes French sojourn
@Source: smh.com.au
Wallabies star Rob Valetini is strongly considering a sabbatical in France next season before returning to Australia for the World Cup.
Valetini is contracted to Rugby Australia until the end of 2027, but could join Wallabies teammates Angus Bell and Len Ikitau in spending next year abroad if he chooses to exercise the option in his contract for a sabbatical year.
Valetini has won back-to-back John Eales medals as the best male player in Australian rugby, and the breakaway remains a crucial part of the Brumbies and Wallabies teams.
Before facing the Hurricanes in Canberra in Super Rugby’s qualifying final, Valetini revealed he was interested in a French sojourn, as opposed to following Bell to Belfast or Ikitau to Exeter.
