Gary Neville makes double Man United prediction as Ruben Amorim handed transfer verdict
@Source: manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Gary Neville believes Manchester United still have work to do in the transfer window this summer. United are desperate need of a consistent goal-scorer up-front, having netted just 44 goals in the top-flight last season, their lowest total in the Premier League era. After splurging big on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the current transfer window, United will need to sell players to finance additional acquisitions. United have pinpointed Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins as their top target , but 22-year-old RB Leipzig forward Sesko is also being considered as the final month of the summer transfer window in Europe approaches. And former United full-back and captain Neville has offered his thoughts on United's business so far in the current transfer window. "That could be a bigger challenge than the economy... I think the two signings are good signings, yet there's a couple more needed," he told Sky News. "I think they need a goalkeeper and if they fill those two positions with decent signings, then United can have a lot, I mean, they have to have a better season than last year. It can't get any worse, really." Amorim has recently explained what he’s looking for in new signings. "They have to want to come here. I think what we can do to the fans is that we want players who have proved [themselves] already," he said. "Sometimes you have a player with a lot of potential and you have to be aware of that, but all the players that are coming, we need to know the player. We need to talk to the player, we have to explain the project. "And then one really important thing is that they want to come here. That is the key point. "If during the market we can find someone that can help the team and have all that boxes with them, then we are going to do it. If not, we can't do it because it's an important time in our club."
