George Strait and Chris Stapleton Announce Co-Headlining Stadium Tour
@Source: rollingstone.com
George Strait and Chris Stapleton will once again spend the summer filling up stadiums on a co-headlining tour that kicks off this May.
The five-date trek will mainly focus on the Northeast, with dates set at football stadiums in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Foxboro, Massachusetts, with Parker McCollum serving as special guest for those shows. In July, Strait and Stapleton have booked a gig at Inglewood, California’s SoFi Stadium, with Little Big Town — who served as their opener on the 2023 tour — back on board for that date.
“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have,” Strait said in a statement. “Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year. Chris will be back and glad to have Little Big Town with us in LA. For the other cities, we’ve added Parker M. to the show which will be outstanding. Can’t wait to see you!!”
Strait and Stapleton recently collaborated on “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” — a track off King George’s album Cowboys and Dreamers — as well as a performance at the 2024 CMA Awards as part of an all-star tribute to Strait.
