GILGIT: Two German climbers who summited Nanga Parbat were hospitalised on Sunday, after suffering from frostbite during their attempt.
According to tour operator Ghulam Muhammad, German mountaineers Tphaine and Boris were climbing themselves, without the support of local porters.
He said the climbers reached the summit successfully on Friday, but suffered frostbite on their knees and descended to base camp on Sunday.
From there, they were airlifted by Pakistan Army helicopter to Skardu hospital, the tour operator said.
