Gerwyn Price says he's a 'tough nut' to crack again as Iceman sweeps aside Littler again en route to Dublin triumph

Gerwyn Price tortured Luke Littler again and reckons he’s in a great place after dazzling Dublin. The Welsh star romped to victory on night three of the Premier League in the Irish Capital. Price beat Littler for a FIFTH successive match to sweep into the semi-finals where he then disposed of World No.1 Luke Humphries. The Iceman was not done with his destruction and defeated Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in the Final to claim a nightly triumph and move into second spot in the standings. Price is loving the game again and he was backed all the way by the Irish public who roared him across the line. He said: “I know that I can win and my game’s in a great place, my mind’s in a good place, but with support like that, yeah, it’s brilliant.” Price was much the best and his latest defeat of Littler was yet another painful one for The Nuke. Littler looked angry and frustrated at the finish as he stomped off stage after he was defeated with a TV clip appearing to show him throwing his darts case. Humphries, who remains at the top of the table with 10 points, was calmer in defeat and Aspinall, who had beaten Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen to earn his first points of the campaign, also didn’t have any answers to Price’s power. Price said: “I want to be a tough nut to crack for every player and that’s what I used to be maybe two or three years ago, but I sort of slipped off the radar a little bit. “But I’m coming back and I probably wouldn’t have won that game [against Littler] without the crowd, they were fantastic for me and it’s like Cardiff all over. I don’t know what it is, I think they feel sorry for us Welsh rugby players!”
